BATTech App Launched at Power-On Technical Conference

Published Date: 2025-04-08 10:47:46

Shri Ramesh Natarajan has developed the BATTech app, a useful system to make the life of battery manufacturers and users easier. The app was launched on January 9, 2025 at the Power-On Seminar. It is a perfect compilation of his customer-centric approach followed by his books, blogs, podcasts, informative videos and articles on various platforms.

What exactly is BATTech?

BATTech is an app that will provide information and knowledge to small and medium scale battery manufacturers, giving them confidence. The app will improve product quality by providing correct data at various stages of the process. This web app is also useful for employees working in large battery companies.

Technology at your fingertips

The various calculators available on BATTech cover various aspects, ensuring that they meet the needs of design, production, quality assurance, marketing and service personnel. The app was not released on the Apple App Store on January 9, 2025. The release will be available for Apple users soon. The Android app has been released on the Google Play Store.

The calculator for filling active materials in tubular plates will be useful for battery designers and production personnel. The temperature-related specific gravity calculator is an essential tool for use in both production and quality.

The weight of copper connectors and the price of copper are indicative tools that can be used by marketing personnel. The calculator indicating price increases is also suitable for marketing or sales personnel.

The energy density of batteries is another data sought in government tenders, and marketing department personnel in the MSME sector are not well versed with this terminology. Battery capacity at different discharge rates for different types of stationary batteries has confused many battery designers and manufacturers. These complex calculations have been simplified so that service personnel and users can also access the data easily and immediately.

There is a calculator for paste density determination; production personnel will find it very useful. Many more calculators are in the pipeline, and it is hoped that battery manufacturers will encourage their employees to use them.

BATTech provides all these calculations quickly - thats why I call it "Technology at your fingertips".

How many types of calculators on BATTech?

Sh. Ramesh Natarajan says that so far 30 calculations have been given to the software developer. I have a total of 40 calculations. Out of the 30, the developer has completed about 25 or so, and all 30 are expected to be ready and live soon. I have already received requests for a few more, beyond the 40 I have. I will need to get these ready and tested before I decide to launch them. The 40 I have are what I have been using during my active industry days. These do not require any validation or review.

Satisfaction with the calculator results

I am satisfied with the result, although I wanted both the apps to be released together. The cost of the Apple App Store was high, and the recurring cost payable to the App Store was another hurdle. I had decided to give it away for free, and I initially thought of launching it only on the Google Play Store app and then seeing the response. My goal is to make it accessible to everyone. Its not just for company owners, but also for employees. Ive already received global responses, and they are more than I imagined. The responses are both encouraging and motivating.

After doing the podcasts, which have now been downloaded and listened to in over 90 countries, listeners started interacting with me. In fact, after 35 to 40 podcasts, I started getting requests for podcasts with topics suggested by listeners. These podcast listeners and my mail newsletter community asked me a variety of questions. I answered these questions using a calculator I developed. These questions started coming more frequently and I started finding them quite common. I realized that the calls had increased and were eating up my time. So I decided to put them on a platform that everyone could easily access.

Why not BATTech in Excel?

The Excel sheet couldnt be shared. If the person making the entries enters some data in the formula column by mistake, they may get incorrect results. So, I had to personally attend to all the requests for details. This was starting to become difficult and time-consuming.

I needed an agency I could trust with all my valuable data and someone reliable who could get the job done quickly. I was fortunate to be introduced to a company called OTF Coder based in Ahmedabad who were eager to work with me and assured me of timely delivery.

I insisted on meeting their team to assess their technical capability. I found them to be competent and enthusiastic and eager to do my job. The OTF Coder team introduced their digital software, Digi Warr, for battery warranty tracking. Their team is dedicated, and I found them prompt in their responses.

Well-wishers Suggest

My well-wishers should suggest what they need. I am here to serve the battery community. I will continue my podcast and blog until I get some new ideas. I thank all my followers and look forward to their love and support. I hope BATTech will be widely used and benefit battery users worldwide.
